Pregnancy & Birth Support

So what exactly IS a Doula? That is a great question! A Doula is a trained professional who provides unbiased emotional, physical, and educational support to pregnant persons. A Doula also provides the same support for people during postpartum, miscarriages, stillbirths, and "non-reproductive experiences such as dying." Doulas are not medical professionals. Doulas DO NOT deliver babies or provide medical care.

As your Doula, my "primary responsibility is to the birthing person—not to a hospital administrator, nurse, midwife, or doctor." Every pregnancy, birth, and family is unique. I offer a variety of doula services personally customized for each birthing experience. Regardless of what you choose, we will dive into your beliefs and expectations around labor and birth to ensure you are completely prepared.

Prenatal meetings are an important part to preparing you, as well as your partner, for your birthing experience. These meetings also help me deeply connect with you so that I better understand you, your needs, and your wants. I offer Two (2) prenatal meetings, which can be done virtually or in-person.

During our prenatal, here is little of what you can expect:

  • Educational materials.

  • Birth plan dialogue.

  • Postpartum & newborn care plan.

  • Newborn feeding support.

  • Demonstration of comfort measures & positions during labor.

  • Comprehensive birth packet.

  • Unlimited phone, text & email support.

When will I go into labor? Will I know what it feels like? What does happens during birth? The list goes on. There are SO many questions and unknowns. As YOUR Doula, I am here to help navigate the unknowns during this empowering time. Below is a little more about what to expect for your birthing experience. When you are at 38 weeks, I am on call for you 24/7 and when you are in labor.

Here is what you can expect during labor & birth:

  • When you are at 38 weeks, I am on call for your birth.

  • I am available 24/7 while on-call.
