the (m)others circle - August 26
Last week we touched on keeping a schedule during these strange times. Are schedules helpful or are they hurtful? What about making a "to-do" list? Does it cause you to stress or make you anxious if you can't get those things done?
If any of these items are causing you to stress, giving you anxiety, or making you angry.....take a break. Ask yourself, am I able to give myself permission to let something go? Am I able to give myself permission NOT to finish my "to-do" list? Personally, I (tiph here...boop) love "to-do" list BUT I do not complete my lists that day. If I'm being honest with y'all, I've taken over a year to complete items on my list, hahaha.
This approach to not completing your "to-do" list that same day is a GREAT way to weed out what really is relevant and important for your life, at that moment. You may find you're loading your life up with unnecessary shit / busy tasks.
Something great from the circle last week, Janet Lansbury!! If you do not follow Janet or listen to her podcast, do yourself a favor and start. Janet recently had a podcast that touched on how we take on our child's emotions/feelings and how to set boundaries in order to avoid taking on more. This hit home with all of us!
Exciting Announcement!! Our next circle will be held twice next week! We will be transitioning to holding the circle on Wednesdays and Fridays for the month of September. Eventually, we will be moving the (m)others circle to Fridays as we will be adding different circles to our community.
As always, this is a free event, however, we are accepting donations. (Suggested donation $5-10) We appreciate those of you who have the means & desire to make a donation to help make this and future circles possible. Donations can be made here.
Wherever you are at in your journey at this time, know what we are here holding space. We are here. Please do not hesitate to reach out.
All our best,
Natalie & Tiphanie
